Siraan Hot Spring
"The Hot Spring on a cliff by the sea"
One of the famous tourist destinations in Panay Island is the Sira-an Hot Spring and Health Resort of Anini-y, Antique.
Nestled on the craggy cliff-edge of Anini-y Antique -- one side fronting the highway, the other facing the Sulu Sea. Used to be a natural "bowl" of warm spring water continously flowing from crevices of a volcano-like basalt bulge along the beach. a scientific theory behind this phenomenon is that molten matter from the Earth's interior is blocked in its path by solid rocks only the gases in the magma escape, heating the water underground and pusing it up the surface. The platform doubles as viewing deck offering a spectecular view of the sea and shoreline.Kayaks boat are available for rent. Siraan Hot Spring offers far more visual treats than a single view of the sea.

The free-flowing hot spring water that continuously fills the pool and mini tubs is believed to be therapeutic.

Siraan has numerous pools facing the sea. The waters from these is said to have a whitish speck where the name of the resort originated from; resembling crumbled powder bits like a woman’s ruined (nasira) face foundation. People who reside near Siraan hot spring usually take their time relaxing in a bath tub sized pool early in the morning to feel the warmness and the cool breeze of the ocean as the resort is located just along the seashore.
